If you are a long-time listener, you immediately know something is up.
The title on your podcast player has changed. It’s the end of an era, and the beginning of something better.
Today I want to share why this new iteration of the show is going to be unlike any other business or marketing podcast available right now. I know. Big claims starting out.
Let’s start with: Why fix what isn’t entirely broken?
For seventy five episodes, the format of this show was simple. I’d turn on the mic, share some thoughts on executive visibility, and give you a few quick tactics to use on social media.
But over the last 9 months, my day-to-day reality has vastly changed. So to understand where this podcast is going, you have to understand where my business, Thought Leader Today, has gone.
When I first started, the core value proposition was content. Executives came to me because they needed to get their names out there. They wanted eyeballs and the mechanism for that was churning out high-quality social media posts.
As the business grew, and as the caliber of the executives I was working with leveled up, the conversations changed.
The executives I partner with now don’t just want a ghostwriter for their LinkedIn profile. They are asking harder, more complex questions. They need someone to help them build a cohesive brand throughout their marketing.
They need collateral that doesn’t put people to sleep. They need ad campaigns. They need to figure out how to translate the vision in their head into a creative strategy that actually moves the needle for their entire company.
More and more, I’m becoming a type of creative director for executives. Thought Leader Today is becoming a blend of creative agency and a reputation management company.
When I talk to CEOs, founders, and industry leaders, it seems like there’s a divide.
On one side, you have the boardroom. The CEOs and C-Suiters, the operators, the executives. They are driven by logic, spreadsheets, and bottom-line metrics.
On the other side, you have the creative department. The agencies, the designers, the copywriters. They are driven by emotion, disruption, and lateral thinking.
Executives often view creativity as a ‘nice-to-have’, like a coat of paint you slap on at the very end. Creatives often view executives as the ‘suits’ who kill all the good ideas because they are afraid of taking a risk.
My favorite people to follow and learn from are those who have figured out how to blur that line.
They know that in a world where everyone has access to the same tools and the same AI, the only unfair advantage left in business is radical creativity.
That is exactly what The Chief Brand Podcast is about, and we’ll be hearing from some of the best in the business.
This podcast is the conversation between boardroom and the creative agency.
I am done sitting here doing ten-minute monologues because frankly, the conversations we need to have are bigger than me just sharing my own thoughts.
Moving forward, I am bringing on the people who are actively transforming business through creativity. I’m interviewing world-class creative leaders, top-tier agency heads, and brilliant CEOs on the regular.
We are going to deconstruct exactly how they use creativity to win, how they build brands that people actually care about, and how you can apply those exact same principles to what you are doing.
I want to know how a founder uses copywriting to completely reposition their company in a crowded market. I want to uncover the friction, the strategy, and the creative bravery it takes to stand out today.
I’m not going to give you the names of all the wonderful guests that are coming on Chief Brand to kick off the new direction, but you will not want to miss them. They are leaders who are shaping the cultural and business zeitgeist. I cannot wait for you here these conversations.
So, here is my promise to you:
If you are an executive, a founder, or a marketer who is tired of the same standard playbooks…
If you want to know how to use brand building and creative strategy to actually bring meaningful visibility to your work…
If you are ready to stop listening to Morgan monologue…
This is your new home.
I am incredibly grateful to every single one of you who has listened, shared, and supported The Morgan Snyder Show.
But Chief Brand is going to take us to an entirely different level.
The first episode of the new era will drop next week.
If you have an executive peer, a co-founder, or a marketing director who needs to inject some creative firepower into their work, do me a favor and send them this transition episode right now to get them ready for what’s coming.
There will be no shortage of interesting ideas for your business to enjoy over the rest of the summer.
My friends: Keep pushing, get ready for Chief Brand, and I’ll see you next time.
